longer term, we think lots of our users will store hundreds (or 1000’s) of text messages per thread. at minimum, we need a quick confirmation.
In the right pane, the conversation time is not updated when new texts are received until the Reload button is pressed or the page is refreshed (F5).20 votes
I think it may be nice to have to ability to display unread count at the tab (similar to unread count for gmail)77 votes
The question here is — what counts as “unread”. We’re storing a copy of texts from your phone, which may or may not be read depending on the notification of the SMS client you are using. Thoughts?
not trying to be a bother...but I SSSSSEEEEERRRRRRIIIIIOUUUSSSLLLLYYYY hate firefox..any eta on the chrome version?11 votes
weeks, not months :)
we want to iron out the firefox specific stuff first.
Chrome users also have the current extension solution (which we admit, is not as good as the web app).
Maybe "Request sent to MightyText" could be shorted down to "Request sent" to avoid the wrapping1 vote
We’ll fix the wrapping issue, and maybe just make it an icon with a tooltip. We think it’s important to say “to MightyText” because that status doesn’t confirm that the phone has received the request yet.
This messages in the thread should propbably have a small phone-icon and/or diffrent formatting to segregate usual message from phone-status-messages.14 votes
Agreed – we are figuring out the best way to display calls in the user interface. The current UI is not great and will definitely be changed soon.
Is it possible to detect in the browser?
Enter -> Send
Shift+Enter -> New Line
or the reversed.61 votes
Yes, in the works!
Make new messages bolded in the right window in case you get a lot a one time you'll know which ones you haven't read yet61 votes
When pressing 'reload', mightytext jumps out of the current selected thread and selects the newest instead. Can create some confusion..19 votes
I noticed that it's possible to jump down a line or two by using the enter key now, but the message was sent with everything on the same line. Is it possible to allow new lines? I always use that when sending from my phone and miss it here45 votes
