  2. Auto-close popup notification if read on phone or MightyText

The text notification popup should have an option to auto close if the text has been read in MightyText or on the phone.

Currently, the time outs to close are purely time-based.

  3. Allow GText to be connected to multiple email addresses.

I use my phone for work and personal calls - but I can only use GText with one email account. I don't want to always have my personal email open when I am at work nor do I want to have to open my work email when I am off.

Please consider allowing multiple email addresses to be connected to one phone number!

  4. enter an option to 'Default to Individual Messages (or) Group Messages when sending texts to Multiple People'

Keep up the good work, mightytext! I would like the ability to default my group messages, (sms messages I send to multiple people) to be sent as individual text messages. I'm sure other users would appreciate that option as well as the option to default to 'Group' conversations, if desired. You guys rock!

  5. Allow closing/collapsing the sidebar in the web interface.

On my laptop, I like to resize the mightytext web app browser window to rearrange word processing documents I concurrently have open. Some times I have to scroll the window around to center the conversation again.

It's just overall unintuitive. Possibly have conversations tabbed at the top instead of the side, perhaps?

  6. Password Protection

The app and extensions (both Chrome and gmail) are awesome, but I would feel much more secure having this functionality on my computer if it were password protected. Any future plans for this?

  7. Option to turn off "Incoming group message" notifications.

Right now when I'm on a group message chain I can easily get 4 or 5 messages in the span of a few minutes. Mightytext currently likes to inform me once that a message is incoming and again for the actual message. I'd like to turn off the "incoming text" notification.

Additionally it'd be nice if there were only one notification per thread with a counter of all the new messages rather than the bunches of notifications I get now.

  8. Custom Bitly Domains

With the new usage of being able to send links via text message of the current page you are on, I think it would be cool to be able to link your bitly account and shorten links based on your accounts preferances.

I currently use a domain on bitly for domain shortening instead of the standard bit.ly address and would love if I was able to shorten with it via MightyText.

  9. Multiple Phones Management

How about connecting a single web app/account with several Android devices? I own few phones (personal, work, etc.), and would love to have the ability to control them all from a single login to my pc chrome.

  10. Most Often Used Emoji Emoticons

When using Emoji emoticons, I often use many that are buried within the app's listing. It would be nice to have a (customizable) "recently used" or even "most often used" section so that I didn't have so spend so much time scrolling through all the available Emoji emoticons.

  11. work friendly interface

like many others i use mighty text at work because sending text messages makes you look like you don't take work seriously (which I do actually). The Classic and and Advanced views attract too much attention. Please create a more subtle view that doesn't stand out so much when people walk by. Standard windows colors, no graphics, etc. Thanks!

  12. Add support for contact groups

Google contact supports the contact of groups (Friends, Family, Co-workers, etc...). Mightytext should honor/support them as well.

  13. Bulk SMS / Mass Texting

I'd like to be able to send a text out to more than 10 people at once. I use mightytext for business. What I do doesn't justify the cost of paid bulk sms platforms. It would be great to be able to copy a list of 25 contacts or so to text at once. Or to be able to select as many contacts as I'd like to text at once.

Even if I'm stuck with 10 at once I'd like to be able to copy a comma separated list. I have to copy numbers one at a time or it…

  14. Send SMS/call to number found while browsing

It would be nice if you could call or send sms to number found while browsing directly by selecting it and choosing an option from right click menu. Similar extension like Pocket, google task and so on uses this feature. That would save some effort to manualy dial number on the phone or copy paste to the mighty sms extension.

  15. Drag and Drop to Attach Photos

The first thing I tried to do was send an MMS to my daughters phone by dragging it from the "Photos" folder on my PC and dropping it into the chat window. It, of course, didn't work. I got to view my picture in Chrome, though! Added pics to the Photos folder directly from my hard drive would be a great option, too. Instead what I ended up doing was using gmail to DRAG AND DROP THE PHOTOS and send them to myself (gmail on my phone) which then re-uploaded them to my Mightytext Photos folder so I could send…

  16. Move the pop up in gmail

The text pop up in the gmail integration pops up behind google tasks.

  17. Button to mark all messages read

I know the app will currently mark messages read on the phone if you close the popup message, but it would be nice when you check MightyText and are caught up on all messages if you could mark all phone messages read.

  18. Sync Read Receipts

Have phone app mark text message as read if read on web app. I want the notification light on the phone to stop blinking. After using mightytext for an hour or two, I have to go into my phone and read every message I already read on the webapp to get my phone's light to stop blinking.

  19. Linux (debian) support for desktop app

The beta has been released for the desktop notifier app, which is great. Could you guys make a version of it that runs on linux systems? It shouldn't be that tough, I figure. I'm no dev, but you could use Libnotify to do this, no?

  20. Mightytext as a protocol (API)

I've already posted this in various comments on other ideas, but I thought it would be better to consolidate it in one topic that can get voted on.

I've seen several requests to add integration of other protocols into Mightytext. I don't believe that is the right approach for future development. MightyText has a great potential as a protocol for SMS encapsulation. Here are my thoughts on it.

It shouldn't be the responsibility of Mightytext to connect with all other protocols. That would take too much of the developers time and effort only to replicate solutions that are already out…
