I suggest you ...

prevent duplicate PC notifications

Whenever I get a text message, I'll get two notifications on my computer: one via the web app, and another via the (I guess?) desktop MightyText manager. Selecting the desktop one opens up the specific message thread in its own window, while selecting the web app one opens Chrome to the web app.

The app should know that the web app is open and only show those notifications, and if it's closed, only show the desktop manager ones.

When I use MightyText on my PC, I often get duplicate messages. These show up both within the mighty text app on my PC and also in my messages on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Active). I have also had this problem with my previous phone (LG G3), but it seems to be occuring more frequently. Very annoying.
