Client App for Mobile Phones
I (and my other co-workers) need to carry around multiple mobile phones.
The ONLY reason we do this is so we do NOT miss possible text messages sent to those numbers (all calls are already forwarded to one mobile phone with unlimited minutes, and all contact phone numbers are already stored in a central cloud location... either Google Contacts or Apple iCloud depending on the devices used).
If MightyText could make a MOBILE PHONE CLIENT APP that will allow us to send and receive messages from ONE MOBILE PHONE (using the phone numbers of all other mobile phones), we can just leave all the other mobile phones in their chargers and carry around ONE MOBILE PHONE FOR EVERYTHING!!! IMAGINE THAT!!! :D
Please make this happen... crossing fingers
Please add this! I'm sick of seeing the "Mighty Text sent your message but it wont show up in your SMS client due to limitations in 4.4.." message. Google Hangouts looks so weird with only half my messages in there. I'd rather just use the MightyText app on my phone so that all my messages are synced.
This is what I used Google Voice for, in the USA. Since being out of the USA, I cannot use Google Voice, but MightText was right there to help with the computer interface for sending and receiving texts, however still missing the ability to send/receive from two different numbers on ONE phone.
I'm right there with Norman. Please make this happen! I don't understand why it should b limited to tablets if it works from a regular browser.
I installed the tablet app on my Phone, it is a little bit weird but works
I've needed this kind of feature for years!! If the full app was available on mobile or tablets, you can leave the house just with your tablet and not worry about missing text messages.
Even better is the idea of abstracting phone numbers from actual phone hardware. If I have multiple phones, I want to take only one of them out with me but able to use phone numbers from my other phones to contact people.
I need this!
Totally agree this is a must.
This would work perfectly for those like myself with limited mobile coverage and i have to leave my mobile in the window to receive sms/calls. I would then use an old/cheap phone to use a (hopefully up-and-coming) mightytext mobile phone client app to send and receive texts from.
It works but the layout only works in landscape, not the best user experience.
What happens if you install the tablet apk (via side loading) onto a mobile? Does that work?
