Use image from internet for MMS/picture messages
Instead of saving pictures from the internet to my hard drive, and then sending them as MMS, it would be nice if we could skip the middleman and link directly to pictures when sending MMS.
any solution to this problem?
In a way I feel bad for the MightyText devs and any other involved in telephony apps, as MMS / SMS is such an archaic method of communicating. There's a REASON there's file size limits and the pathways to sending MMS from PC using third party software are limited and challenging to say the least.
It's amazing carriers have clung to this technology for so long when sending short messages, but not at all surprising.
I agree, I'm looking at a stalled out photo on the web UI for a picture I chose off my hard drive, a screenshot of the web. I don't understand really, when the middle man is already there in the form of MightyText's cloud services.
Seems to me it wouldn't be that difficult to upload, and then essentially use that "string" same as the rest of incoming MMS have been saved and / or are in the cloud.
It's happening to me as well. I can forward MMS pictures I've already received in a text / MMS but I cannot take a raw picture and send it for some reason. I think it may have to do with file size. Why can't MightyText resize or tell us that the picture is too large, or just resize it to send ??
